Willard R. “Bill” Marshall
Willard R. “Bill” Marshall, 86, of Bagley, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien.
He was born Aug. 11, 1928 the son of Lee and Esther (McQuistion) Marshall. Bill was drafted in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Dubuque Packing Company and also operated the Bagley Hotel from 1966 to 1998. He was an antique dealer and had a shop in Bagley. Bill enjoyed a good game of euchre, polka dancing and Irish music. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons and the Liscum Brothers American Legion Post No. 482 of Bagley.
Surviving is his sister June Sylvester, many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Mugsy.
Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, LaVerne “Verny” (Louise) Marshall, Merle (Bernice) Marshall, Russell (Ada) Marshall, Fern (Virgil) Knapp, Lee Telford and Robert Marshall.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington, with Pastor Michael Christensen officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Bagley Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
