Albert “Chuck” Heller, 82, of Prairieburg, passed away following a long illness Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Visitation was Sunday, March 29, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Central City and one hour prior to services at the church. 

Funeral services were Monday, March 30, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Prairieburg.

Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery, Prairieburg.

Albert “Chuck” Heller was born Nov. 12, 1932, in DeKalb, Ill., to his parents Emil and Bernice (Horn) Heller. Chuck served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara Beranek at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prairieburg, on June 27, 1961. Chuck retired from Rockwell after 29 years as an electrical engineer and then worked for ten years as a government inspector.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Timothy (Monica) Heller of Houston, Texas; Randall (Lisa) Heller of Prairieburg; three grandchildren, Ethan, Benjamin and Peter Heller; and his sister, Joan Sadewasser of Guttenberg.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Fred Maahs; two brothers, LaVerne “Snooks” Heller and Nickson Horn; and one brother-in-law, Donald Sadewasser; and one sister-in-law, Coralie Heller.
