Vicki Waterman, 59, of Fennimore, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning May 5, at Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital. 

Vicki was born on Nov. 18, 1955 in Moline, Ill. the daughter of James and June (DeRammelaere) McBee. She married Jerry Waterman on Aug. 24, 1973 in Boscobel. 

Vicki grew up in Neponset, Ill. until moving to Mt. Zion, with her family in 1966. She attended grade school in Mt. Zion, middle school in Boscobel, and graduated from Boscobel High School in 1973. Vicki and Jerry lived in Boscobel until moving to Fennimore in 1987. In 1984, Vicki graduated from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College with a degree in Food Service Management. She previously worked in the kitchen at the Boscobel Hospital as well as Advance Transformer and Walnut Hollow. Vicki has been employed at Great Lakes Educational Loan Servicing in Boscobel for the past 14 years. Vicki enjoyed gardening, sewing doll clothes, spending time with her dogs Chief and Lily, and hanging out with her daughters at craft shows. Although she loved her dogs, Vicki’s greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. The love and compassion she showed towards her family will forever be cherished. 

Vicki is survived by her five children and sixteen grandchildren, Jason (Tonya) Waterman of Fennimore with children Callie, Cassie, Amber, Katlyn, and Tatum; Rhonda (Nat) Newton of Boscobel, with children Hazen, Taran, Shawna, and Tucker; Angie (Jeff) Monroe of Fennimore with children Courtney and Tommy; Amanda Waterman (Matt Mezera) of Bloomington, with children Rhiya and Deegan; and William (Danielle) Waterman of Fennimore with children Hailey, Savana, and Paul; mother June McBee of Fennimore, husband Jerry Waterman of Fennimore; siblings Monica Fritz, Jim (Mel) McBee, Joe (Emily) McBee all of Fennimore, Brad McBee of Reedsburg, and Brenda (Todd) Quick of Prairie du Chien. Vicki is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father James McBee; maternal grandparents Odiel and Bertha DeRammelaere; paternal grandparents Estle and Evalena McBee; daughter-in-law Tiffany Waterman; and in-laws Otis and Wilma Waterman. 

Funeral services were held Friday May 8, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore. Burial followed in the Prairie Cemetery. Pastor Kathy Jacobson with the Castle Rock Lutheran Church officiated. In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Vicki Waterman.
