Jeffrey A. Marx, 48, of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, May 15, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. 

He was born Oct. 3, 1966 in Prairie du Chien the son of James and Judy (Benoy) Marx. Jeff worked as a foreman for Cleary Buildings in Prairie du Chien. 

He is survived by his children, Brooke of Prairie du Chien, Lyndsy and Hillary both of La Crosse, and Samantha of Prairie du Chien; his father James of Arizona; his brothers, Richard of Ripon, James (Tonia) of Wauzeka, David of Patch Grove, Randy of Ashtabulla, Ohio; his sister Michelle Achenbach of Mt. Hope; a half sister Elizabeth Marx of Marion, Iowa; half brothers, J.T. and Patrick Marx of Cedar Rapids; his significant other Angie Ogden along with a grandchild Chase. He was preceded in death by his mother; an infant daughter Jessica; and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien where friends may call one hour prior to services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
