Carolyn C. Henry, 77, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Monday, May 18, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born March 20, 1938 the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Schmidt) Kilburg. She married Arnold Henry at St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman, on June 18, 1957. Carolyn worked at the General Hospital in Prairie du Chien and later she and her husband owned and operated Arnie’s Refrigeration in Prairie du Chien for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing in the women’s pool league. Arnie preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2006. 

She is survived by her children, Cathy (Karl) McCullick of Boscobel, Sheila (Russ) Gillitzer, Steve (Becky) Henry, Judi (Greg) Kazynski, Jeff (Jill) Henry all of Prairie du Chien; her brother Rev. John Kilburg of Sequin, Texas; her sisters, Priscilla (Larry) Kelley of Lynxville, Inez (Al Mallo) Paynter of Sun Prairie, Linda (Ken) Crowley of Oregon; sister-in-law Florence Kilburg of Eastman; brother-in-law Harold Mezera of Junction City; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Robert; her brothers, Michael, Richard and Allen Kilburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James C. Weighner officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
