Bridget A. Achenbach, 19, of Eastman passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

She was born Oct. 26, 1995 the daughter of Lonnie and Jane (Nolan) Achenbach. Bridget had recently completed her freshman year at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, achieving highest honors. She was an active member of the Newman Center on campus; being involved with the Pro Life group, as well as having recently attended both the SEEK conference and March for Life. She also received the honor of being inducted into the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity on campus. Bridget was the current Crawford County Fair Ambassador. She enjoyed showing livestock at the County Fair and her dog “Ruby” at the State Fair. She was completing her final year in 4-H. Bridget loved the outdoors, riding horses, and making new friends. She truly enjoyed making other people feel good. 

She is survived by her parents Lonnie and Jane of Eastman; her brothers and sisters, Drew, Sarah, Kelsey, Chad, Marie and Rita; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Nolan. She was preceded in death by an infant brother James Michael and her paternal grandparents Carl and Marlene Achenbach. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, Rev. Victor Feltes officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, and at the church on Friday, May 29, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
