Seneca defeated River Ridge 5-3 in regional baseball Tuesday afternoon to advance to the regional semifinal at Cassville Wednesday.
The Timberwolves ended their season with a 4-22 record.
River Ridge scored a run in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Seneca scored twice in the bottom of the second to go ahead 2-1.
The Timberwolves scored 2 runs in the top of the third and Seneca scored a run in the bottom half as the game was tied at 3-3.
The Indians scored lone runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings and held the Timberwolves the rest of the way to take the victory.
Seneca improved to 12-10 on the season.
