Operation Troop Aid partners with COTR
Operation Troop Aid (OTA), the esteemed national, non-profit military care package charity, has received an invitation from Country on the River (COTR) to participate in its upcoming August events as the official military charity of choice.
For the fourth consecutive year, OTA will partner with COTR. The three-day country music festival will take place Thursday, Aug. 6, through Saturday, Aug. 8.
As part of the mutual endeavor, OTA and COTR will generate care packages to send to troops overseas. Charitable donations will also be encouraged throughout the duration of the festival.
“We are honored to have Operation Troop Aid join us once again at Country on the River,” said festival organizer, Scott Sheckler. “The support that OTA brings to our troops is invaluable; Country on the River is committed to the Operation Troop Aid mission and we support its efforts fully. We look forward to OTA’s awesome display of patriotism at our event.”
Mark Woods, Operation Troop Aid founder, will act as guest emcee during a portion of each concert event. OTA will also coordinate a special drawing to give away an autographed guitar—signed by the performing artists—to a lucky audience member.
