Dale Samuel Barrette, 70, died unexpectedly on Jan. 8, 2016 in Burke Township Madison.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1945 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Arthur and Laura (West) Barrette. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He has been a resident of Evansville for the past twenty years and worked as a mechanic for most of his life before retiring. He loved old ford trucks especially F100 trucks and belonged to the Badgerland F100 Truck Club of Wisconsin. After retiring he worked for Evansville Towing helping out when needed. Dale will be fondly remembered by his willingness to help friends. His kind and genuine heart was too big for his chest, so he had to carry it upon his sleeve.
