Theresa M. Morel, 82, of Muscoda passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, at St. Mary’s Hospital. 

She was born in Prairie du Chien to Edward and Ludmilla (Balk) Fritsche. Theresa married Charles Morel in Prairie du Chien. They shared 63 wonderful years together. Theresa was a talented seamstress and worked for the Progressive for many years. Her cookies and baked goods were loved by many.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband Charles; children, Steven (Betty), Marilyn Pettit, Michael (Diane), Cindy (Michael) Schultz; grandchildren, Sarah (Andy), Brian (Molly), Evan (TJ), Kevin, Cady, Marie (Andrew), Bill (Christie); great grandchildren, Allison, Sadie, Calvin, Hazel, Katarina, Josiah, Nathaniel, Zechariah, Elijah, Ezekial, Ariana, Gideon, Zemirah, Elaura, Isabella and Bianca. She is further survived by her brother Edward (Patricia); sisters, Ann (John) Rink, Mary Frydenlund, Margaret (James) Baldukas, Rose (Gerald) Wright; sisters-in-law, Karen Fritsche, Wanda Stitely, Gloria (Don) Jones and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Jayne; son-in-law Douglas; brothers, Robert, William and Charles; sister, Betty Berns; brothers-in-law, Art Frydenlund, Harlan Stitely and Norm Berns.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Garrett Kau officiating. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. An American Legion Auxiliary Service was held at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials in Theresa’s name be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisted the family with arrangements.
