Georgeine McCloskey, 94, of Wauzeka, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, at the Prairie Maison Care Center. 

She was born Feb. 6, 1922 in Wauzeka, daughter of George and Mary Ellen (Nugent) McCloskey. She taught at the Dutch Ridge School and later retired from the United States Postal Service after 32 years of service. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Wauzeka.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Marnell McCloskey; two sisters, Lucille Doll and Marian McCloskey along with a half sister Myrtle Vogt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wauzeka, Rev. Victor Feltes officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church Hall from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
