Volunteers host 8th annual Easter Party at Children’s Ranch
The Children’s Ranch’s annual Easter Party will be held Saturday, March 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. Families can enjoy pony rides, crafts, games, a visit from the Easter bunny and more, all for free admission. A meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Everything takes place rain or shine at 61011 Sebastian Ln., rural Prairie du Chien.
This is the eighth year the Children’s Ranch has hosted its Easter Party.
“It’s a great event to get families outside after the long winter,” according to Gracie (White) Ferries, Children’s Ranch director. “Many grandparents bring their visiting grandchildren. The pony rides are always the most popular event.”
Before entering the barn, each child will be given two tickets good for two free pony rides. For children who might be afraid of riding the horses, there will be a couple of horses just for petting and brushing.
About 20 volunteers help coordinate and provide this event for the public.
“Many of them spend most of Friday as well as Saturday morning getting everything ready. Volunteers are what make this event possible and I am very thankful for them,” Ferries commented.
