Randy Rentschler, 51, of Elkader, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at his home in St. Olaf. He was born on September 4, 1964, in Prairie du Chien, WI, the son of Curt G. and Betty C. (Syverson) Rentschler.

He had many loves in his life. The number one was his family, camping, snowmobiling, four wheeling—anything to do with nature, playing cards and spending time fishing at the pond.

He truly loved his four grandchildren. He had great friends, especially our camping family.  Many laughs. The bigger the campfire, the better.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sheila; their children, Cody C. Rentschler, Jennifer (Jason) Wagner and Mick (Andrea) Krogman; four grandchildren, Alli Wagner, Spencer, Alyvia and Aryia Krogman; his parents, Curt and Betty Rentschler; brother, Rick (Beth) Rentschler; sisters, Cindie (Lonny) Kuehl, Brenda (Troy) Haberichter, Julie (Steve) Fette, Roxanne (Terry) Puelz; numerous nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Reginald Schier and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother-in-law, Marylee Schier.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader. A private family inurnment was held at Gockel Cemetery, Glen Haven, WI.

Leonard Funeral Home assisted the family. Online condolences may be left with www.leonardfuneralhomes.com.
