County Board Election
County Board to have five new supervisors
There will be five new members on the Crawford County Board following the April 5 election.
In District 8, newcomer Mary Kuhn defeated newcomer Bob Jorgensen 197 votes to 122. Incumbent Phil Mueller did not seek re-election.
In District 11, newcomer Wayne Jerrett Jr. defeated incumbent Elling Jones 209-141.
In District 1, newcomer Geri Kozelka ran unopposed and got 234 votes. Incumbent Ron Leys did not seek re-election.
In District 4, newcomer Brad Steiner ran unopposed and received 219 votes. Incumbent Marge Sheckler did not seek re-election.
In District 10, newcomer Donald Sterling ran unopposed and received 298 votes. Incumbent County Board President Pete Flesch did not seek re-election in District 10.
Incumbents running unopposed included Henry “Buzz” Esser in District 2, Kersten “Rocky” Rocksvold in District 3, Duane Rogers in District 5, Mary Jane Faas in District 6, David Olson in District 7, Wade Dull in District 12, Greg Russell in District 13, Gari Lorenz in District 14, Gerald Krachey in District 15, Derek Flansburgh in District 16 and Tom Cornford in District 17. All incumbents running unopposed were re-elected.
All vote totals are unofficial. Canvassing of votes will be done on April 11, after which the vote totals will be official.
There are 8,865 registered voters in Crawford County. There were 5,209 people who voted throughout Crawford County in the April 5 election.
