Doris Johnson, 93, of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, May 11, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born Nov. 4, 1922 in Oconto, Wis. the daughter of Wilfred and Mae (Verbunker) Noel. She married Clyde Johnson on Jan. 9, 1943 and they had five children, Faye (Ray) Sporleder of McGregor, Iowa, Gary (Deb) Johnson of Mt. Sterling, Linda (Glenn) McCullick, Jeffery (Susan) Johnson and Valerie (Ben) Johnson all of Prairie du Chien; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Doris ran the cheese factory in Seneca, belonged to the Eagles Drill Team, Ding A Lings and the Red Hats. She loved playing cards, dancing, bowling, fishing and especially spending time with her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her children Gary and Valerie along with a granddaughter Andrea McElwaine.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with Rev. James Weighner officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be on Sunday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at the Hickory Cemetery in Maple Valley Township, Hickory Corners.
