Ruth Zlabek, 76, of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, May 13, at the Great River Care center in McGregor. 

She was born Aug. 21, 1939 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Russell and Marie Jacobs. She married Richard Zlabek on June 12, 1963 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2002. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper for the Brisbois Motor Inn in Prairie du Chien.

According to Ruth’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. A private interment will be in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church Cemetery in Eastman. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
