Local vendors highlighted with Lady Luck’s new Farmer’s Pick Buffet

The new Farmer’s Pick brand taps into the Buffet’s use of seasonal, fresh ingredients, many of which come from local vendors.

Lady Luck Casino in Marquette unveiled its new Farmer’s Pick Buffet during a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 12.
The new brand taps into the Buffet’s use of seasonal, fresh ingredients, many of which come from local vendors.
“It will allow us to highlight local vendors and let people know where the products come from,” shared Don Ostert, general manager/vice president of Lady Luck Marquette.
Among those local vendors are Marquette’s Eagles Landing Winery, Mohn’s Fish Market in Harpers Ferry, Sharing Spaces Kitchen and Greenhouse in Prairie du Chien, Edgewood Locker and the Iowa Food Hub.
The Buffet has already utilized these local, fresh ingredients and products for the last few years, Ostert said, but “this will allow us to tell people about it more.”
Other Buffets within the company are also moving toward Farmer’s Pick, Ostert noted.
Despite the changes, Ostert was quick to assure that many Buffet staples will not change. Popular items like broasted chicken, crab legs, prime rib and much more will still be available.
“We’re pretty excited,” Ostert said of the Farmer’s Pick Buffet. “The goal is always to make the guest experience better, and the Buffet is a large amenity for us.”
