Karen Bernice Ullerich, 83, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 6, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Private family services will be at a later date. 

Karen was born on Jan. 21, 1933, in rural Dorchester, the daughter of Henry and Marguerite (Blake) Larson Sr. 

Karen received her early education from the Bear Creek grade school and eventually graduated from the Waukon High School.  For many years, Karen worked as a bookkeeper for various companies.  In April of 1988, Karen was united in marriage with Al Ullerich in Wabasha, Minn. 

Those left to cherish her memory, are her husband, Al Ullerich; two daughters, Kay (Rick) Anderson and Christine (Stephen) Graff; daughter-in-law, Vicki (Bob) Seik; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny (Sharon) Larson, Genevieve Rude, Alice Miller, Roxanne Williams, Anna Marie (Tony) Danaher, Kathy (Norbert) Kruse, Linda Eiken and many other relatives and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ralph Doubek; grandson, Jason Buch; siblings, Henry, Herbert, Ralph, Larry, Walter and Lowell Larson.

In lieu of flowers and all styles of sympathy, the family has requested memorials to be designated to the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
