Tranel defeats Bennett
Incumbent Travis Tranel (R, Rural Cuba City) defeated newcomer Jesse Bennett (D, Rural Wyalusing Township) for State Representative in the 49th District as a result of Tuesday’s general election.
Tranel was victorious by a vote of 15,057-11,344. Tranel received 57 percent of the votes. Bennett got 43 percent.
Tranel won in Grant County 13,542-10,170. Bennett won in the village of Bagley 130-58. Tranel took the village of Bloomington 186-167. In Blue River, the vote was tied at 91-91. Tranel won in Cassville 222-171. Tranel won Dickeyville 307-218.
Tranel won Hazel Green 318-237. Livingston was won by Tranel 156-123. Bennett took Montfort 138-131. Bennett won in Mount Hope 42-35. Tranel was victorious in Muscoda 249-232. Bennett won in Patch Grove 62-30. Tranel took Potosi 196-154. Tranel won in Tennyson 114-66. Bennett won Woodman 21-20. Bennett won Boscobel 633-558. Tranel won Cuba City 484-348. Tranel won Fennimore 574-485. Tranel took Lancaster 986-711. Tranel won in Platteville 3,043-2,723.
