Experience an evening of music, moonlight and wintertime magic at the Villa Louis mansion during the Twinkling Twilight Tours, Dec. 2-3. For the second of two weekends, tour guides will show guests a new way to experience the mansion.

“As guests enter the mansion they will hear a concert on the fully restored Steinway piano and learn about the music of Victorian America,” said Susan Caya-Slusser, site director of Villa Louis. “We love giving guests new ways to experience the magic of the Villa Louis mansion.”

After listening to a concert played on the Steinway, guests will take a guided tour through the mansion and enjoy refreshments at the end of the tour around the warm stove in the 19th century kitchen.

Tours will begin at 5 p.m. and registration is required. Tickets must be purchased and reservations can be made by contacting the Villa Louis at 326-2721.

Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Villa Louis offers a panorama of Wisconsin history through the life of the Dousman family, beginning with the arrival of early fur traders through the heyday of Victorian life. Costumed guides lead tours of the grand mansion, one of the most authentically furnished Victorian houses in America.
