Guttenberg hospital audit report
The accounting firm of Seim Johnson, LLP released an audit report for Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in September.
The hospital's operating revenue totaled $15,324,121 for the year ended June 30, 2016, a 13% increase from the prior year. Total operating revenue included $14,491,689 in net patient service revenue, $835,293 in other operating revenue, and a $2,861 loss on disposal of capital assets.
Net nonoperating expense was $545,635 which was comprised of $98,470 in noncapital grants, $115,579 in bond credits, a $6,054 loss in change in member share of 28E organization net assets, an $11,470 investment loss, and $742,160 interest expense.
Operating expenses for the year totaled $14,705,987, a 5.5% increase from the prior year, and included $8,105,522 for salaries and employee benefits; $4,792,939 for supplies and other expenses; $263,976 for professional fees and purchased services; and $1,543,550 for depreciation and amortization.
