In a clash of conference unbeatens, Seneca pulled away in the second half to defeat host Wauzeka-Steuben 62-41 in a Ridge and Valley girls basketball game Thursday night.
Seneca had a 23-17 advantage after the first half.
Tatem Baures and Erin Krachey led Wauzeka-Steuben with 13 points apiece. Nellie Groom netted 8 points.
Alivia Salinas scored a game-high 19 points for Seneca. She also had 4 steals and 3 assists. Emily Garfoot had 14 points and 5 rebounds. Becky Trautsch had 11 points. Michelle Clark had 9 points and 7 rebounds. Jena Konichek had 4 points and 11 rebounds. Haley Wall had 2 points and 3 assists. Corrina Lenzendorf had 2 points. Makenna Greene scored 1 point.
Seneca improved to 10-0 in the Ridge and Valley and 14-2 overall. Wauzeka-Steuben fell to 10-1 in conference action and 10-5 on the season.
