Patti was born on July 8, 1939, to Burl and Audrey (Fish) Mc Dougal. She touched the lives of generations of students as she taught English for over 30 years.

Patti loved her children and grandchildren with a passion and reveled in their successes; she was always there to be supportive. She enjoyed cooking, reading, politics, crossword puzzles and never lost her desire to learn.
