Hawks beat Hillmen

Prairie du Chien beat visiting Platteville 6-2 in SWC baseball Tuesday afternoon at Prairie du Chien High School. 

The Blackhawks scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, 1 in the third, 1 in the fourth and 3 in the fifth. 

The Hillmen scored 2 runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Prairie had 7 hits and committed no errors. Platteville had 5 hits and committed no errors. 

Prairie improved to 18-1 on the season and 9-0 in the SWC to clinch at least a share of the conference title.

Prairie du Chien will travel to River Valley on May 19. River Valley is in second place in the conference with a 6-1 record.
