Lancaster nipped visiting Prairie du Chien 8-7 in eight innings in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal Tuesday afternoon.
Prairie took a 5-0 lead after three innings. They scored 2 runs in the second on 2 hits and an error. The Lady Blackhawks added 3 runs in the third on RBI singles by Rilee Wikan and Lauren Kennedy.
Lancaster scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to pull within 5-3.
The Flying Arrows tied the game at 5-5 with 2 runs in the sixth.
The Lady Hawks scored 2 runs in the top of the eighth to forge ahead 7-5.
The Arrows scored 3 runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the win.
Prairie du Chien finished the season at 2-19. They were 1-10 in conference action.
Rilee Wikan was 2x4 for Prairie du Chien. Lauren Kennedy was 3x4.
