Kenneth Joseph Lawson, 66, of Prairie du Chien, died Wednesday, July 26, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. 

 

Kenneth was born to Sydney Joseph and Tresa Frances (Berta) Lawson on Dec. 31, 1950, in Beloit, Kan. He graduated from Beloit High School.

 

Kenneth was united in marriage with Sherry Lynn Bowling on Oct. 25, 2006, at the Prairie du Chien Court House. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for five years in Mitchell County, Kan., and as a Police Officer for six years in Beloit, Kan. Kenneth umpired semi-pro baseball and softball for forty-five years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ken was a loving husband and father.

 

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sherry Lawson, of Prairie du Chien; children, Troyette Lawson, Thomas Lawson and Theresa Lawson; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Kathy Sue Lawson.

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Tresa and Sidney Lawson; and one daughter, Tammie Lawson. 

 

Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit, Kan. Condolences may be left at www.graufuneralhomes.com. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, of Prairie du Chien, is helping the family with arrangements.
