Michael B. Johnson, 68, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, at the Prairie Maison Care Center. 

 

He was born June 28, 1949, in Farnhamville, Iowa, to Dorothy Johnson. He married Laurie Zimmerman on Dec. 5, 1987. Mike worked for Earl Brad Ford in Gowrie, Iowa, as a mechanic for over 20 years. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laurie, of Prairie du Chien; his son Jason (Peggy) Johnson, of Prairie du Chien; his grandchildren Jason Jr. and Jayden; sister- and brother-in-law, Jean (Jim) Harrenstein and Roger (Anna) Zimmerman, both of Cedar Falls, Iowa; cousins, Denny and Donny Larson; along with a dear friend Wanda McAttee.

 

A visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
