Cruisers ready for 20th annual car show, cruise, music

The 20th annual River Park Cruisers Car Show, Cruise and Music in the Park is coming this Saturday, Sept. 16.
Come enjoy the day with us, listen to music downtown by “The Mole” during the car show and view hundreds of beautiful classic cars in Guttenberg on six blocks of River Park Drive.
Early bird cars will start rolling in at 8 a.m., with registration from 9 a.m. - 12 noon and the car show from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. The 50/50 drawing and car show awards will be given out at The Welcome Center at approximately 2:30 p.m. Approximately 70 awards will be given out to 22 classes, plus another five specialty trophies.
Car Cruise route
The Car Cruise will follow the show at approximately 3:30 p.m. Car cruisers not participating in the car show and who want to cruise can line up on River Park Drive facing south starting in the 100 block.
The cruise will take us from Guttenberg to C7X towards Garber, turning right on Ironwood, left on Hwy. 128 through Clayton Center, right on Hwy. 13, left on 182nd Street (B60), Farmersburg, north on Golden Ave., left on Hwy. 18/52, and into Monona. Then take a right on Falcon Avenue, right on Walnut Street to the city park for a pit stop with food and beverages being served, and leaving Monona at 4:30 p.m. to return to Guttenberg via Hwy. 52.
Music in the Park
Everyone is invited to join the Cruisers in the Guttenberg park north of the school for Music in the Park from 6-9 p.m. with music by "Triple Threat." It's free of charge for everyone to help the Cruisers celebrate their 20th year of cruises. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, BYOB, and any snacks or food you may want.

Proceeds from the event will be given back to the community. The total given out so far is $34,169.
