Seneca spikers win regional championship

On Saturday, host Seneca bested Southwestern three games to none to win the regional championship and improve their season record to 18-4.
Seneca won by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-17.
Top-seeded Seneca will now face third-seeded Benton at Belmont on Oct. 26.
Benton defeated second-seeded River Ridge three games to none on Saturday in the regional final by scores of 28-26, 25-23 and 25-14. River Ridge finished with a 22-2 record, with both losses to Benton.
The Seneca versus Benton showdown is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in a Division 4 sectional opener.
