Holiday train to stop in Marquette
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will have one stop in Clayton County this year. On Thursday, Dec. 7, the train will stop in Marquette at 4 p.m. on the river side of the railroad tracks.
The Holiday Train is beautifully decorated with over 80,000 lights and also features great entertainment. Admission is a non-perishable food item or monetary donation for the Clayton County Food Shelf.
Last year the stop in Clayton County netted the Clayton County Food Shelf $11,053.99 and 2,935 pounds of food.
This year free hot chocolate and cookies will be offered.
"The Holiday Train is in high demand, and we are very fortunate to have them stopping in our community," said a spokesperson for the Clayton County Food Shelf. "They will continue stopping, as long as we have a good turn-out. Let’s keep them coming!"
