Damien Xavier Redman Hoeper, 15, of Glen Haven, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21. 

He was born on April 16, 2002, the son of Kurt and Lindsey (White) Hoeper. Damien was in the sophomore class at River Ridge High School where he excelled in academics, football and solving Rubik’s cubes. He was a mass server at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington. Damien enjoyed swimming, playing mine craft, and shooting pool. He had an infectious smile and huge personality that always lit up the room. Damien dearly loved being with his family.

Survivors include his father Kurt (Kammy) Hoeper; mother Lindsey (Brian) Redman; his siblings: Conner, Ava and Jace Hoeper, and Natalie and Bennett Redman, and Mary-Kayt and Logan Jones; his grandparents: John (Rose) Schroyer, Gene (Ramona) Hoeper, Bart (Mary Sue) White, Dick (Ruth) Redman, Robert (Karon) Kuykendall, Patsy White and Ivanelle Quick; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Damien was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul White, and Albert, Marian and Robert Graf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz and Father Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in Blake’s Prairie Cemetery, Bloomington Township. Family and friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 28, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Damien X. Hoeper Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is assisting the family.
