Kyle Russell Dettmann, 45, went to join his family in heaven on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, from the Guttenberg Care Center. 

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 3, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Gary Hatcher. Visitation was before services at the church.

Interment was at Clayton Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.

Kyle received his education from the Garnavillo School System and worked for many years constructing homes. Kyle loved four wheeling, stock car racing, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.

Kyle is survived by his father, Randy Dettmann; brother, Travis Dettmann; son Andrew Lenz; nieces and nephew, Brooklyn, Kennsington and Corbin; aunts and uncles, William Balk, James Balk, Helen (Wayne) Barrett, Karolyn Balk, Roger (Shirley) Balk, Lorrie Balk, Sandy Anderson, Thoma (Kerri) Balk, Donald (Mindra) Balk, Jean Godden, Chris (Kevin) Quandahl, Lisa Dettmann and many other relatives and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Anna Balk and Donald and Gloria Dettmann; mother, Roseann Kraus; uncles, Andy and Jeff Balk and Kenneth Dettmann; aunt, Brenda Dettmann and special friend, Chance Barrett.
