Dancing with the Hawkettes to benefit Rivers and Bluffs shelter, Music Fights Back

The Hawkettes Dance Team is volunteering its off-season time to raise funds for two great organizations. Dancing with the Hawkettes will take place on Sunday, April 15, at the Dousman House in Prairie du Chien. This year’s proceeds from Dancing with the Hawkettes will benefit Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter and the Music Fights Back Foundation.

This year’s Dancing with the Hawkettes will include a dessert auction. Curt Kramer will be the auctioneer. A 50/50 raffle will also be held, benefitting the Hawkettes Dance Team for costumes and competition expenses. 

The roster of dancing partners includes:

•Jade Afroukh and Bjorn Thompson

•Paige Severson and Nathan Bremmer

•Bree Holler and Robert Smudde

•Kina Myers and Justin Cathman

•Caitlin Nolan and Ron Sedgwick 

•Kara Katzung and Mark Seeley

•Lauren Kennedy and Jeff Panka

•Archi Patel and Jeremy Cuff

•Morgan Kiesau and Gary Keeney

•Rebekah Champion and Ken Hess

Lynn Rider, Ken Stoeffler, Tom Nelson and Ashley Morga will be the judges for this event. DJ Slam, Stewart Slaman, will provide the music for the dance competition and Mike McCoy, as emcee, will surely keep the crowd entertained. 

Tickets and votes are available at Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter, 460 Cliffwood Dr. (behind Country Inn and Suites), on Mondays from 12-7 p.m. and Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 p.m., from select event organizers and on the website: dwtspdc.ticketleap.com/dwtspdc2018. Early bird tickets purchased prior to April 11 will receive five votes with the ticket. Tickets purchased after April 11 will each receive two votes. Additional votes will be available for purchase at a nominal charge.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. Tickets include a delicious chicken in white wine sauce dinner, catered by The Barn, as well as homemade desserts. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. A cash bar will be available. The dance competition begins at 6:30 p.m. Tables can be reserved on the website with two different levels of seating available. 

This event is sponsored by Thrivent Insurance, AAA Awards, Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter, Hawkettes Dance Team, Music Fights Back Foundation, The Barn Restaurant and the Dousman House.
