Andrea Lynne (Spreen) Potts was born in La Crosse, WI on April 29, 1975, to Barry and Linda Spreen. She was baptized in the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, but at home, by her dad’s cousin, Rev. Victor Hellman. The baptism was registered at Benediction Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. She was confirmed in the faith at St. Paul Lutheran, Church McGregor, Iowa on March 19, 1989.

She was a gifted athlete in power tumbling, volleyball and track. In her time with USTA (United States Tumbling and Trampoline Association), she placed second in the National competition in her division as well as earning many other medals.

She graduated from Central Community High School in Elkader, Iowa in 1994. She attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. Later, she also studied photography.

On July 17, 2004 she married the love of her life Doug Potts. Along with Doug she loved and raised Anita, Julie, and Tristan. She was absolutely dedicated to her family.

Andrea and family lived in Craig, Nebraska where she worked as a medical lab technician at Oakland Hospital. She, along with Doug, Anita and Julie, participated in community theater there.

In 2014 they moved to Florida. She began to work at Jersey Mike’s Subs and worked her way up to store manager. She was a success with her outgoing personality and bright smile.

Andrea was a fun loving and social person. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family. The game of Magic the Gathering, and Candy Crush were favorites.

On March 24, 2018, Andrea died suddenly at her home of cardiac arrest probably caused by an arrhythmia, with Doug by her side. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence and Gertrude Spreen and Harry and Tillie Hansen. She is survived by her husband Doug, children Anita, Julie and Tristan, parents Barry and Linda Spreen, her sister Elizabeth Jahn (Charles), as well as many friends and extended family.

Visitation was at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 29 at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, in Orlando Florida. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 30 at Hope Lutheran Church Orlando Florida.

In lieu of flowers, gifts to Andrea Potts family are suggested.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Blessed be her memory.
