Barneveld beats 

River Ridge girls

Barneveld defeated host River Ridge 21-1 in high school softball Thursday afternoon.

River Ridge scored its lone run in the bottom of the third inning. Barneveld scored 1 in the first, 1 in the second, 3 in the third, 1 in the fourth, 2 in the fifth, 1 in the sixth and 12 in the seventh. 

River Ridge had 3 hits and committed 8 errors. Barneveld had 19 hits and committed 1 error.

Verity Johnson went 2x3 at the plate for River Ridge.
