Marguerite “Peggy” Luella Minger, 97, of Guttenberg, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg.

Visitation was Sunday, May 20, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Monday, May 21, at United Methodist Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Neil Hofer.

Interment was at St. John's Cemetery, Guttenberg.

Peggy was born on March 4, 1921, in Dubuque, the daughter of Earl and Carrie (Fetschele) Wilson.

Peggy attended the Dubuque school system and graduated in 1939. She was united in marriage with William Hinzman and two daughters, Linda and Darlene, were born to this union. Peggy and William later divorced and on March 24, 1962, Peggy married Alton “Jack” Minger and the couple were later blessed with a daughter named Sue.

Throughout her life Peggy worked a variety of jobs ranging from Les and Em’s Drive-In, Moxies, the Button Factory, and Cord’s Tavern. Peggy loved a good game of euchre and going out to eat with her family and friends. She especially loved calls and visits from friends, family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Smith, Darlene Frommelt, and Sue (Steve) Rausch; eight grandchildren, Amber (Todd McCracken) Rutledge, Amy (Eric) Baker, Aaron (Jodi) Rutledge, Chris Frommelt, Andy (Laura Cairns) Frommelt, Joe (Katie) Rausch, Amanda (Jared) Diers, Phillip (Brittany Lucas) Rausch; 12 great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Marcella Grutz, Lisetta Hamel, Pearl Nank; brother, George Boyden; and son-in-law, Robert Frommelt.
