Clement F. Ryan
Clement F. Ryan, 75, of Box Elder, S.D., died on Dec. 18, 2017.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1942, in Prairie du Chien, to Clement Ryan and Merle (Davis) Ryan. Clem graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1960, and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1962. He married Janette Morley in England on April 16, 1966.
Clem retired from the Air Force in 1988, after serving for 26 years at many locations throughout the U.S. and the world including Vietnam. After retirement from the Air Force, Clem obtained a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University and worked for Spiegel’s, Menard’s and other employers in the Rapid City area.
Clem is survived by his wife Janette, of Box Elder; a son Sgt 1st Class Patrick Ryan, of Ft. Eustis, Va.; a grandson Brady, of Rapid City; and a step-grandson David Wonsitler. He is also survived by a brother Patrick (Barbara) Ryan of Green Bay.
Clem was preceeded in death by his parents and a daughter Victoria Irene.
There will be a brief memorial event for Clem at Calvary Cemetery, in Prairie du Chien, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 2.
