Cassville Comets

Wauzeka-Steuben defeated visiting Cassville 3-2 in a WIAA Division 4 Regional quarterfinal Thursday afternoon in high school baseball action.

The Comets took the lead 2-0 after the first inning.

The Hornets scored a run in the bottom of the fourth and another in the fifth to tie the game at 2-2. 

Wauzeka-Steuben scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Wauzeka-Steuben had 5 hits and committed 2 errors. Cassville had 3 hits and committed no errors. 

Jacob Reichmann was 1x4 with an RBI. Jaden Berger was 1x2 with an RBI. Isaac Byrne was 1x3. Gavin Ralph was 2x3 with a double.

Berger picked up the mound win. He fanned 1 and walked 2 in 2 innings. Carter Lomas started the game. He whiffed 9 and walked 4 in 5 innings.
