County to hold public think tanks
Residents of Clayton County are invited to share thoughts on the future of Clayton County during an upcoming series of public meetings.
Clayton County is updating comprehensive plan goals and strategies for housing, economic development, transportation, agriculture, natural resources, public facilities, land use and more. The County has held meetings with the public, the steering committee, and focus groups to establish a community vision, review data about the county, and discuss limitations and opportunities for different areas.
Now the County will hold a series of public “Think Tanks” to share findings with the community and get recommendations from the public on strategies for accomplishing the vision for Clayton County. "Please consider coming to one of the following Think Tank meetings, and bring a friend! We want to hear from you," say organizers.
All meetings will be held at the Clayton County Building in Elkader at 600 Gunder Rd. Dates and topics are as follows:
Community Character and Culture; Natural and Agricultural Resources, Wednesday, June 20, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Economic Development, Thursday, June 21, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
