Sherry was united in marriage with Bradley T. Whitford on February 18, 1989, in Elkader, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Emily Ann and Wesley Nolan.
Sherry had a passion for caring for others and she did this in many ways throughout her life. Most recently, Sherry cared for other cancer patients in her support group and community by encouraging them, sharing her faith in Jesus, and being an example of strength and courage.
Sherry enjoyed scrapbooking, walking her dogs (Mickey and Baxter), coloring, music, daily devotions and prayer with her husband, going to church and Bible study, being a grandmother to her two granddaughters, exercise, traveling, cooking, baking bread, visits with family and friends. Sherry’s motto was “UNSTOPPABLE” and in Jesus Christ she is unstoppable. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
