Ritchie advances to sectional

The Lady Hawk golf team played their hearts out at the regional golf match on Wednesday at Prairie du Chien Country Club but missed going on to sectionals as a team by three strokes, carding a team score of 462. 

Gabby Ritchie led the Lady Hawks with a score of 98 and qualified for sectionals as an individual for her third straight year. Allison Kennedy scored a 120 with Macy Sander and Sophie Miller each shooting a 122 to round out the team score while Molly Peterson shot a 132. 

Four teams and four individuals outside those teams from the Prairie Regional will compete in the sectional played at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton on Tuesday, Oct. 2.  

Edgewood scored a 372 to win the regional championship, followed by Edgerton with a 422, Wisconsin Dells 427 and Darlington 459. Joining Gabby as individuals will be Lindsey Wolf 102 from Lancaster, and Kate Wright and Haley Wright each with a 112 from Southwestern.
