The driver of a vehicle was arrested for an OMVI, causing injury, after a crash that occurred Saturday morning that sent her passenger by MedLink for treatment, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department.

On Sept. 29, just before 3 a.m., the Crawford County Communications Center received a 911 call of a one-vehicle rollover with injuries on Quarry Road, just off County Road B, in the town of Freeman.

Natalie Grimsled, 28, of Ferryville, was operating a 1997 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Quarry Road when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the road, rolled up the embankment and came to a rest on its side. A passenger, Jacob Grimsled, 30, of Ferryville, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted by MedLink to  an out-of-town medical facility, according to the sheriff's department. Natalie was uninjured.

Natalie was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, causing injury. Natalie was transported to the Crawford County Jail for booking.

Assisting on scene were MedLink Air, Ferryville First Responders, Tri-State Ambulance and Milo’s Towing.
