All area brides, grooms and their families are invited to the Fall Bridal Show at Backwoods Bar and Grill banquet hall in downtown McGregor, Sunday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nearly 30 vendors will showcase their services and products, and offer samples, specials, cash-and-carry items and more.

This is the first ever Fall Bridal Show, coordinated by Lynda Coon, and sponsored by six main partners: Backwoods, AmeriVu Bluffview Inn & Suites, Nelson True Value (both of Prairie du Chien), Zazou’s Bridal Boutique & Tuxedos (Jodi Stricker-Dubuque), Kathy’s Kakes (Kathy Buenzli-Prairie du Chien), and Yes, I Can Paint (Lynda Coon-McGegor).

Additional vendors are primarily all small businesses from a 60-mile radius, including representatives with photography, music, catering, cakes and desserts, floral, cosmetics, jewelry, accessories, health, art, wedding rental needs and more.

“There will be opportunities not to just meet the vendors but also have personal consultations with many of them,” Coon stated.

Two grand prize baskets, valued at over $200, will be awarded to brides, along with several smaller prizes throughout the day. Zazou’s is giving away a $100 certificate toward their formal wear. Bluffview will give away a free night in a honeymoon whirlpool suite. Kathy’s Kakes will award a $50 certificate toward her fancy cupcakes and cakes. Yes, I Can Paint is providing a $100 certificate toward a commission painting of the bride’s gown. Backwoods is donating a $20 certificate as a prize.

Stewart Slaman, of Ultimate Entertainment DJ Services, will provide music and entertainment throughout the show.

Additionally, Backwoods will offer a special of pulled pork and french fries as well as other options for those in attendance.

“I have a heart for small business vendors. This will be excellent for brides and their families, and I want vendors to go home happy too,” Coon said.

Anyone getting married in the coming year or two won’t want to miss the Fall Bridal Show. Brides, grooms, bridal parties and family members are invited to check out the venue, vendors, products, services and prizes. To register and qualify for prizes, send your name, email, wedding date and fiancé’s name to LBCraftAndVendorShows@gmail.com. Put your name in the subject line. Interested brides may also register at the door.

Also, find the Fall Bridal Show event page on Facebook to see pictures from the vendors of what will be experienced at the event.

“Come and sample the products, check out the reception hall, talk to the different business owners about your wedding and even stay and enjoy a bite to eat,” Coon said. “I really believe it’s going to be a wonderful time.”

More vendors are welcome to set up a booth space at the show. To do so, contact Lynda Coon at (608) 412-3020.
