Rita Mae Rosacker, 90, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 28, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

A private family inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Guttenberg.

She was born on Dec. 26, 1927, in New Vienna, one of 11 children of Louis and Josephine Pape.

Rita received her education locally and on April 6, 1953, she was united in marriage with Robert C. Rosacker at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Small in stature but big in heart, she lived an active life in her later years despite poor health. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family. She enjoyed her Thursday pinochle games with the gals; in the week prior to her passing, she took first place and had double pinochle. She was also always up for a trip to the casino or Sunday night bingo. Then there were the memorable family poker games, where her numerous name-callings always brought many bouts of laughter.

Rita will be forever cherished by her children, Ron (Julie) Rosacker, Rick (Twila) Rosacker, Pam (Donn) Anderson and Patty (Paul) Wachendorf; daughter-in-law, Caroline Rosacker; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Robinson; sister-in-law, Ruth Pape; beloved dog, Rosie and many nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steve Rosacker; three sisters and six brothers.
