PdC woman charged with meth possession

A 36-year-old Prairie du Chien woman has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine. 

Paula Quakenbush faces up to a $10,000 fine and 3.5 years in prison if convicted.

According to the criminal complaint, Prairie du Chien police officers stopped a vehicle which had a defective and loud exhaust. The driver, Quakenbush, had bloodshot and dilated eyes, the complaint said. She agreed to a search of her vehicle.

A small, metal tin containing meth was found in the search.
