Man charged with meth possession and strangulation

A 20-year-old Gays Mills man has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine, one count of strangulation and suffocation, domestic abuse, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of misdemeanor battery.

Myca Reitzloff faces up to 10.5 years in prison and $31,000 in fines if convicted of all counts.

According to the criminal complaint, Crawford County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a residence in Gays Mills for a physical altercation.

The victim stated that her and her ex-boyfriend, Reitzloff, had been getting into physical altercations for the past week or week and a half. She said Reitzloff had choked her, bitten her, hit her, pushed her and other actions which caused pain.

The victim told deputies that Reitzloff was under the influence of meth, the complaint said.
