Catherine S. Copsey, 91, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the Vernon Memorial Hospital. 

She was born July 14, 1927, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Kilian and Sarah (Grover) Michel. She married Milton Copsey on Jan. 22, 1958, at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. Catherine enjoyed gardening and raising small animals. 

Milton preceded her in death on July 31, 2011. 

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Althea) and Michael (Ana) Copsey, both of Prairie du Chien; her grandchildren, Dustin, Deanna, Hannah and Aiden; a great-granddaughter, Shelly; and a sister-in-law Alice Michel, of Ferryville. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Cheri; a brother, Horace; and a sister, Velma.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with Deacon Mark Grunwald officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Seneca. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
