The Guttenberg Gallery and Creativity Center and Courtyard Cafe are uniquely housed in a historic limestone building located at 214 S. River Park Dr. across from the community's public school.

Courtyard Cafe

Creativity Director Cindy Olsen explained to The Press, "We are a non-profit studio, gallery and cafe. Students from our local school man our Courtyard Cafe. The student-run cafe is a wonderful experience for our community's youth to learn business basics with minimal guidance from adult staff."

The Courtyard Cafe offers seating both inside the gallery and outdoors on the adjoining courtyard patio. Visitors can enjoy a variety of fresh fruit smoothies, orange Julius, and espresso drinks made with the cafe's own special blend from local roaster Barb Arthur of Big Muddy Coffee. The Cafe will be serving a limited lunch menu and a selection of baked goods.

Olsen shared, "Our smoothies are made with fresh fruit, and our espresso drinks are made fresh with our own beans. We offer indoor and outdoor seating."

Olsen explained, "We are here for the community. The non-profit space was designed for the community to gather together to celebrate and experience the arts. If you have a band you would like to hire, or if you are in a band and need a space to perform, the studio and adjoining courtyard are available for you to utilize." She continued, "If you are looking for a creative space to host a birthday party, bridal shower or a variety of other events give us a call. We do require you schedule your event through us to avoid conflicts with other groups, and for liability reasons. A donation made to the gallery for use of the space is appreciated."

The Courtyard Cafe is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Lunch is offered through 1 p.m. Specialty drinks are offered through 4 p.m.
