Alisa Frawley, 23, of De Soto, was charged with possession of THC-2nd offense, a class I felony.

This charge stems from a June 14 incident where Crawford County Sheriffs Department Deputy Tony Berg was on routine traffic patrol when he stopped a vehicle on State Highway 35 in Freeman.

Berg identified the driver as an Alan Haag, and the passenger as Alisa Frawley. Berg took their information to his squad vehicle and ran both through the Crawford County Dispatch. In the meantime, Crawford County Sheriffs Department Deputy and K9 Handler, Joe Breeser, arrived on scene.

Breeser stated tat he walked K9 Breck around the vehicle, and Breck “hit” to the odor of one or more controlled substances from within the vehicle. The deupties had both parties get out of the vehicle. Frawley was seated in the back of Breeser’s squad vehicle while he and Berg conducted a search of the vehicle.

Breeser stated that the search of the vehicle did not result in the discovery or seizure of contraband evidence. Before Haag and the Frawley were released, Breeser reviewed his in-squad video. He observed Frawley, while seated in the back seat of the squad car, remove something from her pants and attempt to stuff the item underneath the seat. Breeser located this item and it was observed to be a THC cartridge to be used in a vape pen.

Frawley was previously convicted of possession of THC in January.

This case has not been concluded. Unless a judgment of conviction is entered, the defendant is presumed innocent of all charges.
