The Prairie du Chien volleyball team traveled to Lancaster on Thursday night for an SWC match. It was a thriller!

Lancaster took advantage of a slow start and a lot errors by the Hawks early on to win the first set 25-18. The second set was much closer as the two teams went back and forth, but the Hawks came up short in the second set, 25-23, to go down 2 sets to 0.

Back came the Prairie girls! Prairie began to play smarter in the third set, placing the ball well, having less errors, and a lot more fight! Prairie would take the third set 25-21.

The fourth set was back and forth for awhile until Lancaster started to pull away late. With Lancaster up 22-17, ready to close out the match, the girls showed toughness and determination and won 8 of the last 9 points to take the fourth set 25-23!

In the 5th and final set, the PdC girls came out strong and took an early lead which they would not give up as the Hawks pulled away and won 15-9 to win the match 3-2!
